homespun quilt e-news

Hello Quilters and Crafters,

It's officially spring!! Does this bring to mind spring cleaning and organizing? We have some patterns for organizing your quilting area like "Pockets To Go" from Atkinson Designs. I'm adding a shelving to my sewing area for all the projects I plan to finish this year. I'll put each project in a "Marta Studio Bin," with its own label on the front. Simple and quick. Plus I can coordinate them to my room colors.

We are on Facebook!!

Look us up on Facebook! We're "Homespun Quilts."

Celebrate Astoria's Bicentennial this Year!
Local quilts needed for a quilt show May 21 & 22 at CMH Pavilion conference room.

Your help and your quilts are needed. We need quilts that were made in Astoria, reflect or depict Astoria, or are of a historic nature for this smaller show.

Let Lydia at Homespun Quilts, 503-325-3300 or Jaci Holland, 503-338-0294, know what you have and the sizes of the quilts.

Have your quilt at Homespun Quilts by noon on Friday, May 20.  (There is a form to fill out so you get your quilt back!)

Please volunteer to hang quilts Friday at 4PM or help take them down Sunday at 4PM. Please volunteer to be at the show for questions and to remind people not to touch the quilts.

Please tell everyone you know about the show!

Keep September 14-18 in mind for a larger quilt show for any quilts for the Bicentennial Homecoming Celebration.  We need you to volunteer!  We need a steering committee of at least 5 to make it happen and many more volunteers as well, so give us your name and contact info and how you want to help.  Contact Lydia or Jaci at jbholland@q.com or by phone.  Thanks!
We just got this great new book, it shows 101 full size patterns for traditional and modern variations of the log cabin block.
Uses charms for projects. Easy to follow instructions.

Check out Homespun Quilts on Facebook to see my little baby quilt!

Happy Quilting!
Lydia
